Stormy Weather

We’ve been having a great deal of stormy weather lately.  Not only has been stormy here in T-town, but it seems to be statewide.  In fact, on Thursday evening, my mom called me to tell me that when she arrived home, one of our huge pecan trees had fallen in our front yard, completely blocking the front of our house.

My dad has been worried about this tree falling for a while because it is so close to our house and it is HUGE.  Anyway, they haven’t gotten it cleaned up yet, but it didn’t seem to be any damage (except for the column at the bottom of our front porch stairs).  I wasn’t home to see it so my brother sent me these pics with his camera phone.

Needless to say, it could have been really bad so we were glad the wind was blowing in the right direction.  Although it is a mess to clean up in the front yard, at least it’s not a mess to clean up inside the house.
