I promise I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth…

Sorry!  I know I haven’t posted in a while, but life has been crazy since Spring Break!  The kids realize it is getting near the end of the year and they are crazy (as am I).  Between work and getting stuff together for my final project for class, in the little free time I have left, I want to do nothing more than sleep.

Let me see if I can do some catching up (although it is nothing too exciting!):

Spring Break was not very eventful, but it was really nice having some down time.  I did a lot of things at home (home home not my apartment) getting stuff ready for Josh’s graduation stuff (scrapbooks, invitations, etc).  Although I stayed pretty busy, the down time was nice!

I came back on Thursday to meet with my advisor.  She is wonderful and we spent the majority of the time chatting about my year.  She was very positive and made me feel much better about the situation.  I’m so grateful to have a professor/advisor like her!

As I mentioned above, I’ve been working really hard to get ready for the end of the school and classes so that has taken over my life.  I don’t even have any exciting pictures to post (check my teaching blog for some field trip pictures though!!)

Things will start picking up in the next month so there will be lots of blog posts  (and pictures) to make up for the down time.

I’m heading home to spend a little time with the family for Spring Break, but I’ll be back on Thursday.  Because I’ll be on dial-up, my blogging will be limited, but I am going to try and play catch up on some events so that when I get back into civility I can post them :)

Skybox Party

On March 26th, I received this e-mail from the football office

Yep!  It was official!! I am doing football recruiting yet another year.  Although we had to reapply, I wasn’t too worried about getting it, but I was really excited when I got this e-mail.  I was even more excited about the Sky Box party that occurred last tonight.  I didn’t get many pictures because it was sort of a come and go thing and I didn’t stay very long, but I did manage to snap a few.

Needless to say, we had a wonderful time and coming off yet another #1 recruiting season, I am pumped about beginning a new one :)

“There’s no place like…Neiman Marcus?”

So, I opened up my e-mail this afternoon and this e-mail from Neiman Marcus:

Why do you do this to me Christian Louboutin??

If you know anything about me, I not only have an obsession with shoes, but I am obsessed with one movie that has a whole lot to do with one special pair of shoes:  Wizard of Oz (which the two obsessions could technically go hand in hand, but oh well :))  Anyway, I have dressed up as Dorothy on so many occasions, it is not funny!  I truly think I was her character in a past life ;)  See proof below:

Anyway, I have ALWAYS wanted a pair of ruby slippers!  When I was 4 and dressed up as Dorothy, my mom ordered me some jellie type “ruby slippers” but they were just the little cheap ones girls play dress up in.  When I dressed up as Dorothy in high school, we actually made me some “ruby slippers”, but still not the same.

Needless to say, when I saw this e-mail I started hyperventilating…how awesome is this?  Too bad they are almost $800!!!  Oh well, maybe I can come up with some reason that I need these special shoes (too bad I’m not getting married anytime soon….I could totally make a case for these shoes ;))
