Not Me Monday!

I’ll start…

I most certainly did not cry on Alex AT LEAST three times last week over completely ridiculous things (like wanting to set a price limit for gifts in the future).  I would never put him in that position, especially over something so silly.  Nope, not me!

I also did not put on a black dress Saturday morning, and then change, minutes before leaving because I was afraid I looked like a fan of the opposing team.  That wouldn’t happen, because I never wait until the last minute to choose my game day outfit, and certainly do not change my mind at the last minute.  Nope, not me!

Finally, I definitely did not buy yet another bottle of coffee creamer last night at the grocery.  I would never do that because I already had three other flavors already in my fridge at home.  Not me!

So what did you not do this past week?

Not Me Monday is back!!

MckMama took a little hiatus from her “Not Me Monday” and I did too.  However, when she brought it back last week, I was excited because it gives me a perfect way to share all the randomness going on right now that doesn’t warrant it’s own post. ;)

So let’s get started…

I did not fill up 10 large kitchen garbage bags of clothes, shoes, and purses that I no longer wear out of my packed closet last week and none of those clothes still had tags on them. I’m extremely conscious of my spending habits and would never let clothes sit for years in my closet with tags still on them….nope, not me!

I most certainly did not recruit my parents and sweet boyfriend to help me in my new organization kick over Labor Day weekend.  I also did not have Alex move the bookcases (that he put together) at least three times because I couldn’t make up my mind and have a mental breakdown later in the day when I didn’t like how it looked.  I would never do anything like that.

While everyone else is putting up fall decor, I would never go out and buy “Alabama-themed” table decor just because I consider football its own season and I prefer crimson to orange any day.  I also then take pictures of said tablescape and post them on FB with tags still on the florals and wrinkled placemats…nope, not me!

I also did not, upon having my acrylics taken off and a gel manicure done, immediately go to Ulta and buy new polish just because I wasn’t happy with the color. 

I also did not attempt to take the gel off using regular nail polish remover and then end up painting them with a color that I already had at home when it wouldn’t come off.  Nope, not me!

I also did not light my new pumpkin spice candle and spend the entire day sipping on Apple Cider just because I’m tired of this “transition” weather.  Nope, I would never do that when it is still almost 80 degrees outside!

Not Me Monday!

I most certainly did not spend the majority of last week and this weekend, working on and stressing over a 30 page, photobook project that I volunteered to do for some special people in my life.  I would also NEVER turn down help because I know that this project was more than I could handle.  Nope, not me….I never add unnecessary stress to my life!

I also did not literally squeal with delight and call everybody I knew when I received an e-mail from my professor letting me know that they had a Graduate Assistant/Instructor position open for me at Alabama in the fall.  Nope, I would never do that because it is not set in stone yet and I have gotten my hopes up for nothing before.

I also did not do a happy dance and take a picture of my final grades from this semester to send to my parents and Alex…

and IF I did, I most certainly would not post said picture on Facebook and Twitter.   I am not that much of a dork….nope, not me!

I also would never let my laundry get so far behind that I have to use every door frame in the house just to hang the clothes up to dry.  Nope, I never fall behind in my housework!

What have I NOT been doing today?

I most certainly did not spend the whole day scrapbooking.

Nope, I would never do that…especially when my house needs to be cleaned, laundry done, and bags unpacked…I know my priorities!

I also did NOT take some of this…

Because I know that this allergy alert is true

and it causes all but one of those symptoms (hives – check, facial swelling – can’t see out of my right eye…check, and wheezing - *cough cough* check).  I know better than to take this because it affected me back in January when I took it for the first time.  Nope, no matter how much pain I’m in, those symptoms AREN’T worth it!

I also DID NOT cry at least 3 times while going through these…

that my old dance friends submitted for a project I’m working on for my old dance studio’s 20th Anniversary.  I’m not sappy and sentimental like that….nope, not me!

Not Me Monday: Arkansas Edition

Note:  I know this is a day late, but yesterday was insane so I’m going to pretend it is still Monday anyway ;)

I haven’t done one of these in a while, but I thought this would be the perfect way to give you a little sneak peek into my Arkansas Adventure :)

I most certainly would not pack a tremendous amount of stuff for this trip.  I knew I would only be there a few days, so I would never carry more than I needed

Speaking of packing, I would also never leave anything of importance such as my soaps and shampoos back at home and IF I did, I would never make Alex take me to Target and Walgreen’s on Saturday morning in the pouring rain to stock up on the essentials and spend money on products that I don’t normally use.  Nope, I’m more practical than that!

Even though I love to take pictures, I know when it is appropriate and I would never take pictures in inappropriate places like the grocery store.  I would NEVER take multiple pictures in a grocery store, even if it is the prettiest one I had ever seen.

I would also never make my boyfriend match me so much that he frustrated because he has nothing to wear that matches my outfit.  Nope, I am definitely not and have never been that controlling.

I’m also NOT going to leave you hanging and I will post my weekend recap soon!

Not Me! Monday: Homework Edition

As always, this was created by MckMama over at www.mycharmingkids.net.  Normally, she posts her Not Me! Monday post, but her baby Stellan has been in the hospital so I’m not sure there will be a post.  But, Stellan is doing much better and might get to come home soon! :)

Now for my post…

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  I’ll tell you what I definitely did not do last week especially with all of my classwork due ;)

I most definitely did not put off all of my huge class projects until the very last minute.  Nope, not me!

I also definitely did not go see a movie with Alex instead of working on my homework or spend hours working on my blog background when I should have been spending hours on my assignment…Nope, this girl knows better than that!

I also did not wait until the week that my assignment is due to order my book from Amazon because I know that it is possible for it to get lost in the mail.  No, I would never do anything like that.

Finally, I certainly wouldn’t have played on the internet all weekend and written my “Not Me! Monday” post instead of working on my final assignment!  No, not me!

No Not Me Monday!

I got my inspiration for my Not Me! Not Me! Monday

So, what have I not been doing since last Monday?

I first of all did not literally jump up and down when they added a few more jobs to the job board.  I mean, who would get THAT excited over something like that….Not me!

I also did not go shopping twice last week for new clothes because I don’t even have enough room for the clothes I have!  I’m also trying to save money so that is why I most certainly did not spend over 200 dollars on both trips…nope, not me!

I also did not drag along poor Alex on the aforementioned shopping trips that I did not go on.  If I did, I would not shop for 4 hours looking for a green ensemble to wear to his car show and certainly did not buy 2 green shirts (to match his car) along with matching shoes and jewelry.  Nope, not me!

I also did not throw a hissy fit while working on a spreadsheet for my mom just because the spreadsheet didn’t look the way I wanted it to.  No, I’m not OCD about that kind of stuff!  Not me!

I also did not stray away from my diet this weekend!  Even though I was tempted by my mom’s chicken spaghetti, Alex’s mom’s meal of mango chutney chicken, salad, and creamed corn, and all of the yummies in the fridge.  Nope, not this girl!!

Not Me! Monday

First of all, I would never make  Alex feel bad for wanting to hang out with his friends on Friday night by tearing up and eventually crying on the phone with him after he dropped me off after dinner.  Later, if he did invite me to go, I would never just sit there like a bump on a log pouting because I wasn’t entertained.  What kind of girl would do that?  Not me!

I would also never spend all day in my pj’s reading blogs and playing on the internet and then take a shower at 9 pm only to put on new pj’s and go to bed.  I mean, what kind of person does this….certainly not me!

I would never throw a package of bakery chocolate chip cookies in the cart at the grocery store when I plan on starting my diet this week.  This smart girl would never do that….nope, not me!

I would also never spend 3 days in a row sleeping until 11:30 and then still go to bed at like 10.  No, girl never sleeps past 6 am…nope, not me!

And finally, I would never spend an hour this weekend writing out a “schedule”/”to do list” for every day of the week this week.  I would most certainly not write on this aforementioned schedule “Check blogs, Facebook, Twitter”.  I would never do this, because there are much more important things to be doing and come on, what crazy person makes a schedule when there is not one needed….not me!

Not Me Monday’s

I totally forgot what day it was until just now and realized I have not yet posted my “Not Me Monday” post!  So here it goes (new icon & all).  As always, for more information on Not Me Monday’s check out MckMama’s blog at www.mycharmingkids.net

This weekend, I most definitely did not throw my diet out the window and chow down on hamburgers and homemade ice cream, even if it was 4th of July.  On top of that, I would never even think to bring leftovers back to Tuscaloosa with me to eat this week!  Not Me!

While spending the whole day in the pool on Saturday, I most certainly did not spend the entire time reading a “fun” book.  I would never do this because I know I have 3 books to read for my PhD classes this summer!  Who would put fun before school…Not me!

When my brother and I arrived in Tuscaloosa this afternoon, I of course did not make him carry in all the groceries and I just carry my Vera Bradley duffel.  I mean, what big sister would do those things?  Not me!

Finally, I would never wait until the last minute to do an online assignment for a PhD class!  I’m always on top of things and NEVER wait until the last minute, or say an hour before its due, to start on an assignment.  What kind of girl does that….Not me!

My First “Not Me, Monday!”

Throughout all of my blog reading, I’ve stumbled across MckMama’s blog over at www.mycharmingkids.net.  She came up with this idea to truly confess what she would otherwise be ashamed of.  Head on over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week!

On to my very first “Not Me! Monday” post…

I would NOT call to check my answering machine every few minutes when I’m away from the house to see if I got a call from a potential employer!  I would also never compulsively check the online job board anytime I have internet access.  Not Me!

I would never go grocery shopping to buy healthier foods to start my diet today, and walk out with a jar of Nutella and I would not even think about making a sandwich with it when I got home!  Not Me!

I would never even think about ordering a 20 dollars collection book from a designer just because she did a collection inspired by the Wizard of Oz.  Why on earth would anybody be crazy enough to do that, even with beautiful images like the one below?  Not me!

I would never make Alex sit through Confessions of a Shopaholic and then complain when he pops a “guy” movie in with one of his friends.  I would then never pout when he wants to go out and I am not dressed appropriately (even though he had mentioned earlier and of course I was not too lazy to go back to my house and get ready!)  Not Me!

I would also NEVER spend all of Sunday (until 3 am today) watching 2 1/2 seasons (37 episodes) of The Office.  I would never do this because I know I should be cleaning for my brother’s visit next week! 

And finally….

I would NEVER wake up stressing about my unemployment and messy house and immediately sit down and write my first “Not Me! Monday” post!  :)
